Monday Situation # 2
You have sent your young child out on a play date with thier play mate of the same age. The other child's mother told you that her son/daughter will be going to get their hair cut on that play date. You said " Why not see if you child could get thier hair cut too, it will look great for the class pictures coming up the following week. The child comes home with a Mohawk, or a spiked hairdoo......How do you handle that?

Kung Hei Fat Choi!!!

Happy chinese new year!!! Today is the start of Chinese New Year! Happy new year! Chinese New Year, pronounced in Chinese as "xin nian", always falls on the date marking the beginning of Spring and thus it is also called the "Spring Festival". "xin" means "new" and "nian" means "year". The actual date for Chinese New Year is the second new moon after the winter solstice. 2008 is the year of the rat in Chinese astrology. the year of the rat is supposed to be great for getting married or starting a new job or project. Apparently we won’t see instant results, but if we are patient, fabulous things will happen. The year of the rat also lends itself to workaholic tendencies, so if you are prone to overworking yourself, make an effort to cut back & rebalance your life.

The general message seems to be: work hard & consistently, don’t get frustrated if things don’t immediately go your way, & take care of yourself. Though I guess that’s a good message all the time!

Chinese also have superstitious beliefs as regarding their xin nian..lol. which include cleaning the house before the New Year so as to welcome new and positive energy, keeping of the brooms and brushes when the cleaning is finished as well as paying off all household debts so as not to incur more debts in the New Year.

Old and worn-out money should be replaced with new and crisp bills, secured in red envelopes or "ang pao" to indicate that it is lucky money. Differences between friends and family members should be resolved. I actually slept with new crisps of the highest denomination two in my pocket yesterday night and even jan 31st..lol.. beliefs sha

The New Year's Day house decorations include red banners or couplets with New Year wishes and symbols of good fortune in gold. The new clothes worn should be in orange and red, which signify happiness and prosperity.

As there are a lot of chinese over here, its always fun to go to the parks and watch the street parade and fireworks. This years parade in my city was postponed today because of the ash wednesday celebration. I just came back from a chinese friends house, had dinner with them and we would be going to watch the parade and fireworks.. A lot of sales are going on in the mall. see decorations everywhere with pictures of rat and stuff.

Ash wednesday!!!

Hey guys!!! sup wid y'all.. happy ash wednesday..hmm so the season of lent is here.. what are you giving up? i've decided to stay off pasta and rice and meat. Though I wont be fasting sha..lol


I love catholic schools. (my schools catholic). Every now and then we have weird holidays.. saint this day, patron this day..lol Just today afetr my 7.30 to 9.00am class. we heard the announcement bell.. of cos student already knew it had to do with crazy invitations to some seminar or workshops or a job fair or the likes sha. Lol all of a sudden as the vouice made its way to the speakers, what did we hear classes were canceled.. woahhhhhhhh.. see how students started screaming and running out of classes..lol reason: there was a healing mass and the whole school was jampacked with people with different whatever.. ohh boy.. i ran home and took a four hour sleep( ive been depriving my self of sleep for the past one week)..lol...i know with timje again, one yeye holiday would come up..



Gosh i'm so excited with my weight loss programm..lol.. gosh even though i'm still at the 2 pounds lost ish.. i can feel my thighs and tummy going down.. I went to the mall to check out stuffs.. stopped by the jeans section, got a pants( skinny), my actual size(14) and tested it.. mehn it was freaking loseeeeeeeeeee as in.. i then asked for size 12 and ohh boy did it fit.. i mean whenever i fit into size 12 pnats, it would just reach the my thighs, but itv went up and then i was able to zip without any problems.. Gosh i was so excited, i bought two.. i'm rocking them this week mehn..lol

Talking about weight loss.. In the gym i attend, some crazy indians also come to work out( goshh i dislike indians mehn) freaking pervs... and only God knows what gibberish they were yanning, but I could feel they were talking bout me.. pervs..lol

I met a nigerian at the mall yesterday.. I hardly see blacks here not to talk of nigerians.. well when i saw him with two mixed kids( i had seen the kids before), i went up to meet him and asked where he was from.. he told me he was nigerian, then i asked where and he said he was yoruba, immediately i spoke yoruba and he was so happy. He and his wife are divorced, but hes based in another country.. the kids are so cute...we had dinner together and he kept telling me that hes glad to have found someone, at elast that would make his kids closer to their nigerian lineage..lol his daughter kept asking if i was his sister( coincidentally his sister and i bear the same names)..lol.. It was fun sha.. yanning in yoruba and stuffs...

wow!! bimbylads. celebrates her one year anniversary and ends her book series Hell hath no Fury..... It was a great read and i enjoyed every bit of it.

Situation Tuesday #1}

Once upon a time you were married. For well over 20 years. You treated all on the in law's side as your own. You saw births come and deaths go together. You were named Godparent of a child. Your spouse wanted out of the relationship. It was nothing you done, they just decided..." They didn't want to be married any more. It was very painful for you to deal with the whole thing. For awhile you tried to stay involved in the other side of the family, with out having to deal with the one you were with. Time passed and you just stopped sending gifts to your { their } nieces and nephews. You received a call from your X- they tell you your Goddaughter or Godson was murdered. Do you call your X-sister in law,,,the mother and offer condolences? Do you attend the funeral?

Hey guys!! happy new week? how did your weekend go. mine was just stressful.. it was indeed a stressful. I have so many essays and one crazy stageplay in my literature class.. school sucks mehn.. exams come up next week, when we just finished a set of exams last week.. kai e no easy...


Thanks for those who stopped by..lol at my friend.. I still like her regardless sha, but mehn when you guys don't just flow again, I think distance has to be kept. Still talking about friends, why is it so common among girls to beef.

I met an old classmate on facebook last year, apparently she left when we were in JSS3. Lets call her ifeoma. So i joined facebook and joined a group for ex(insert school name) students. She used a different name and I didnt know it was her until she sent me a message and we caught up on old gists and stuff. we were a little close in high school, we became closer she introduced me to her current boyfriends, gisted me about her exs etc... I also met this chic tope who was our senior ( i think 1 year or so). Anyways she hits me up and we start talking (we never talked while we were in high school) anyways we don't really talk that much. So apparently she and ifeoma stay in london, I think ifeoma even went for one of her parties or something. Anyways so ifeoma tells me how she met one of our seniors who was like the biggest boy back then and how they dated, she tells me of how she hooked up with a certain music producer blab la.. I mean both of us become so closeeee. Sha my self and tope don’t talk that much, just write on each others wall.. watsup blab la.. she makes fun of my crazy status et all…

One day while my self and ifeoma were chatting shes asks me watsup with Tope that whenever she calls tope doesn’t pick up or return her calls and stuff.. I’m like I dunno.. Thought y’all were close and stuff.. She tells me they used to talk and all of a sudden she stoped. Then I ask her if she did anything to upset her or the likes... anyways she tells me she doesn’t really care. I just tell her to bone I mean friendship aint by force right.

So my best friend(LETS CALL HER MARYAM) calls me we have been friends since jss1. anyways she aint on facebook, so I tell her about ifeoma and how we became cloase and shit., I give her ifeomas number and they talk on phone, even plan to hook up and SHIT.

I chatted with mariam yesterday and she gists me about a party tope had and how she met some old school friends. Then I ask her if ifeoma was there, she says no and was like she even has gists..Our convo goes thus

The thing about the boobies is the chic is really busty and has a good shape. As in tall, not so skinny but has butts and boobies. Talking about her not putting her pictures on facebook, she has more than a million she probably restricted Tope sha.Cos I know for one that she puts up her pictures.

Why talk about someone at her back, I just told maryam if she couldn’t say it in her front she should shut up. WHY judge people like that. Girls and beef ehn. I don’t even care whether she’s lying about dating a celeb or whatever, none of my business... But why talk so bad about her, I mean you guys have met only once or twice.. sha na them sabi. On a lighter note, congratulations to the super eagles, well they lost but we should still be proud of them.

Weight loss

I haven’t been to the gym since fri or so.. I get so tired nowadays. . reharsing for the stage play, staying up to write essays and stuff.. I went today though but just for a little time. I haven’t weighed my self, scared to do. I fear that I might have gained a little. Though ive been eating mostly cereal, veggies and fruits for the past few days.

No, not the Ham & Pork Hybrid food in a can (save that one for another day.. tee hee) but I mean E-mail Spam. Apart from being downright annoying it is completely and totally useless. If I needed a boobs enlargement I will check the yellow pages or look through the web.. I would certainly not click on some non-descript vulgar e-mail that has been sent from a poor unsuspecting admin clerk's e-mail box. I wonder how much business this crap actually generates??? Actually I don't wanna know. I just want it to stop. At one point I was getting 40 e-mails a day to my business e-mail address offering me viagra, diet pills, penis enlargements, increased sex drive, jobs in US medical industry.

Its so funny how people change. I just talked with one of my close family friends. we have gone through shit together.. we lived together, our parents go way back before we were born sef. so basically she was like my best friend. She left for london while still in high school, of cos we kept in contact and everything.. Now shes become this london babe and we dont seem to connect again. I mean when we chat and stuff.. absolutely nothing.. all she talks about is how shes gonna be in one music video, how she met one chealsea(spelling) footballer bla bla.. How independent she is and how stupid I am still letting my folks make decisions. I mean the heck?? i'm still under them, they still pay my tution and stuff.. I mean to each his own jare.. i hate people judging me, whatever she does i would never judge her and stuff.. for real!! even though she does some nasty stuff, i have always loved her and stuff.. still considered her as my friend and stuff.. But judging me.. heck no.. since then whenever i see her, i block her on msn and stuff.. i told her wat she said hurt me but na she sabi jare.. I dunno sha, last thing i'll ever do change and act weird to my friends.. close friends would always be close.. I still keep in touch wid my friends in naija and we flow like no mans business. anyhoots its all good right?

I dont really have much to blog.. been so busy.. I have an essay to finish up which is due tomorrow, plus i have another project i need to complete this week..

I'm thankful for the wonderful people who have one way or the other influenced my lfe financially, morally, emotionally. Those who make me eager to see tomorrow. Grateful for having a wonderful family...
i'm grateful for being able to wake up with a smile.. no stress.. whatever people do or day to, i just shake it off and let them pack the dust..lol..

Hey bloggers.. whatsup with y'all? A big thanks for stopping by and commenting. Its February already..wow!! 2008 is going again.. anyways this month is know as the month of love, hearts month as valentines day falls on this month. What have you guys all got planned for valentines, i'll probably just hang out with my single friends as i did last year. lol.

A lot of girls have been asking the best gift to give their guy. Most guys come up with sex. Lol As far as i'm concerned getting a gift aint really that important, as long as you've been cool with him from the get go.. I dont think guys really care about gifts. One could get him a nice card, cook his favorite meal(maybe breakfast in bed), go for a dinner, drink, come back at night, take a shower together lol.. change into a sexy lingerie and have the bestest love making you've ever had..lol

On a different note, speaking of parental favoritism I believe that all parents will favour one kid over the other(s), consciously or subconsciously… no matter how hard the parents tried, they will be certain favoritism among their kids. i also agree with parents saying children have to be handled with different techniques in raising them up.

growing up, i dont think my parents exhibite that. we were all treated with equal love, though we girls were closer to my parents but we were all treated in the same manner. As a young kid, being the last born, i always thought they hated me cos i was always the one being sent on errands, the perception changed as i grew older. Did you ever experience parental favoritism? how has the perception changed as you grew older.

I am so stressed today, feeling really bad. tired and stuffs. I think i'm about to be down again.. y'all gotta pardon me for having a short post today..
